Route to Texel
By car:
Texel can be reached from the Randstad (the conurbation of Western Holland) in about two hours, from Amsterdam, Hoorn, Den Helder. Through the highway A7 and / or the N9 motorway you reach Den Helder. From the east of the country you can go over the closing dike to Den Helder. The shortest way to the ferry is then indicated in Den Helder.
The boat:
The ferry (TESO) sails every hour from morning 6.30 am till the evening 9:30 pm. The crossing takes about 20 minutes. On Sundays and holidays the service starts, depending on the season, one or two hours later. It is not possible to make reservations.
